When Autumn Fades
by Cynthia E. Jones
The leaves are falling...
on this gloomy day
dark, dreary and hollow.
The trees are bare, smooth and grey
looking thru to the open sky.
Sprinkles in the wind
to tell Autumn has been...
and Winter is soon to follow.
