Silence and Good Karma
Sounds go fading each progressing day
but now a new friend to help is found
and ease your need to face me and say,
for one day my dear, I'll hear no sound.
Fingers are formed, both oval and round,
while this new ASL alphabet is found
and soon we have mastered each sign
to find life is not perfect for God and I, fine.
Then we can share moments when you too
reduce your signing errors to just a few:
For ASL is just another language to speak
and soon we can be both silent and meek.
In my growing silent filled world, no sound
could ever fill thoughts in my heart now found,
for instead of engaging my mind, now my heart
takes the place of thoughts I now do start.
Silence grew and another friend we write,
deft fingers with SignWriting now light
on our keypad and e-mail's we send,
for on any translation we can now depend.
But I was not content with friends, just two
and my Oralist training just grew and grew;
Now I can communicate with my three friends
for in my silent world on them I can depend.

In the quest for 'Founding' the author makes a request of our inner child to see using vision with both heart and soul, and to remember those that influence our lives so that we may never really walk alone.
Denny uses five keys to 'Founding' and they are as follow: Compassion, Humility, Knowledge, Memories, and Valor. Each of these are supported with good example and indepth reasoning, but shared with a gentle voice and sometimes giving way to laughter. We are taken on a journey here, one not so often expected, but one that is a defined learning experience for all of us.
Lancaster's Laughing Place could be a home for fae, if you decide to believe. The Faerie Keeper himself does give thought for why we should surely believe. There is every attempt to introduce how our every days may be influenced with story and verse about real life things but with using the flare of imagination. Stories are told here for both their entertainment value and of course the lesson written in each one. As any good fairy tale, we will walk away with something to smile about and something we shall never forget that will help us manage our days.
To know Denny is to know the Faerie Keeper and he shares with us how this persona was found with his wonderful poem 'Origin of The Faerie Keeper'.
A Personal Message of Commendation Sent...
Dear Denny,
You gave me the task of selecting a poem for your profile and it was not easy as I could have selected several. I chose the one I have because of your advocating spirit and your teaching abilities. Thank you Denny for creating a wonderful working website that informs and delights. Your work is not only structured with easy access but gives the visitor a desire to move forward for what is waiting in the next story and verse. |
